Booking fee & payment A booking fee of £100 (minimum) is required to secure your wedding booking with me. With out a booking fee in place, your date is not secured and may be offered to other interested brides. Booking fees are deducted off the final balance. The Final balance is due to be paid on the week of the wedding and no less than 48 hours prior to the wedding date.
Trials Trials are separate and optional services to be paid on the date of the trial at completion of the service. 1.5 - 2 hours is booked for Bridal makeup trials. Bridal trials are held at my home salon. Bridal trials are on a 1-1 basis, unless agreed other wise. J.F MUA has the right to refuse a third person attending the trial. During your trial, you must express if you are dissatisfied with or unsure of the results as this can be altered at the trial reducing the need for a second trial. You are encouraged to make the most of your initial trial, as any trials there after will incur additional costs.
Travel & Out of hours fee Travel to venues or your home is available, travel fees are 0.75p per mile- both ways are included. Please note, out of hours fee of £50 are applicable where necessary and this will be included in your quote, time spent travelling is also included in the out of hours charge of £50, if travelling or arriving before 8am. If you want to add additional party members which requires an earlier start time, the out of hours will be charged where necessary if travel or arrival time results in being 8am or earlier. Free parking nearby must be available at both trials and venue unless agreed otherwise. For weddings abroad & where applicable, we require the equivalent of 3* or higher for your artist to ensure a comfortable nights sleep ahead of your wedding. If a flight or method of travel is cancelled, and your artist is unable to attend your booking, you be refunded your final balance minus the booking fee and J.F MUA cannot be held liable.
Minimum booking & surcharges J.F MUA has a minimum booking agreement of 3 people in a party (including the bride) & maximum booking of 6 people including the bride. In the event that the booking goes below 3 people due to unforeseen circumstances, you are welcome to replace the person cancelling or a surcharge of the remaining amount of the persons services must still be paid. If you wish to add more than 6 people, I will endeavour to accommodate this and find a second MUA if possible.
Cancelling or changing wedding bookings J.F MUA will endeavour to accommodate changes to your booking. Adding additional people onto your booking can only be accepted if timings allow. Prior notice and payment is required for any additional party members. Reducing services: you are required to give 1 months calendar notice if you wish to reduce the amount of people agreed on the booking. After such time, services cancelled will still be payable by the specified payment date. All payments are responsibility of the bride & all booking fees and final payments must be made by the bride. In the unfortunate event that you cancel your wedding booking completely, J.F MUA requires a minimum of 2 months calendar notice, after such time full payment will still be required by the specified due date and no refunds will be given. Should payments not be received- legal action to recover losses will be proceeded with.
If I cancel or change the wedding booking In the unlikely event that J.F MUA has to cancel your wedding date due to unforeseen circumstances or illness, all efforts will be made to ensure another MUA is available to stand in place on the morning. In the event that J.F MUA cannot find an MUA to stand in place, you will be refunded in full. Once a refund has been issued, J.F MUA is not liable for any costs incurred there after. If an assisting / second MUA is needed for larger parties and they are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, then an earlier start time may be requested to accommodate the original numbers where possible. If J.F MUA or any assisting MUAS feel uncomfortable in any way, or if anyone becomes abusive / violent or displays any offensive behaviour, we have the right to cancel with out refund there and then. In the event of extreme weather warnings or where MET office has issued ‘Red’ warning, we will need to discuss safe options of travel & or cancellation. As a gesture of good will, refunds will be given excluding the booking fee in the event of weather related cancellation.
In the event of delays on the wedding morning In the event that we experience unforeseen delays on the morning which are out of our control, due to guests or party members being late, or not being ready in time for their makeup slot, not allowing us the time we need to carry out efficient work, refunds will not be given. In the event that one or more services are forfeited as a result, no compensation will be offered if we over run. If you are aware of factors that could hinder the timing of the morning, please make J.F MUA as soon as possible so this can be factored into our route. Allocated time slots are given to each person, 1 hour 30 is allocated to the bride and no more than 1 hour is allocated to each bridesmaid or bridal party member. If a bridesmaid is unsure of having their makeup done and may pose a risk of lateness on the day, a trial is recommended to avoid delays and disruption to the allocated time slots.
Requirements for setting up / carrying out work. J.F MUA will arrive with all kit required, this includes makeup, lighting & chairs. We require sufficient space on the morning with lots of natural light, and most importantly table space (no lower than hip height to protect our backs) as our kits take up considerable space. Plug sockets are required nearby for lightings. Please consider this before our arrival and ensure the space we will be using is ready for us to set up immediately once we arrive. I recommend picking a quiet area to get ready in with minimal noise/ interference. When J.F MUA is completing bridal makeup, I kindly ask that you are completely free for the 1 hour 30 that you are having your makeup done, please refrain from having conversations with other suppliers whilst I am providing services, or moving frequently, as it can affect the quality of my work and ability to carry out my best work & adhere to timings. J.F MUA has the right refuse location changes during the wedding morning. If your venue does not allow you in before 8am, please consider this as I do not change locations once I have arrived. Setting up and packing up takes considerable time and physical effort, which disrupts the flow of my work. If your getting ready room happens to be upstairs and there is no lift, please let JF MUA know before hand, to arrange suitable help to bring all kit upstairs.
Insurance J.F MUA is fully insured to protect themselves and the clients.
Products/ sensitivities Any allergies must be made aware to J.F MUA at the point of booking, before carrying out services or trials on the day, or as soon as possible.
Photo Copyright It is useful for J.F MUA to take photos of makeup on the day, if you are uncomfortable with having your photo posted on instagram, please decline having your photo taken when asked. J.F MUA is happy to be photographed on your wedding morning. Please kindly make references or credit / tag your makeup artist if photos are taken of myself in action. Thank you.
